HAZE

 

The Premise

Haze is a dystopian novel about the advancement of technology and how Artificial Intelligence overtook Planet Earth, controlling the environment and the rest of humanity. The scene takes place in the year 3500 where all human beings are plugged into a dreamlike state and their living their lives in a virtual dream controlled by technology.

One day, a group of four subjects, Marcus, Kalil, and Nancy all awoke simultaneously from this dreamlike state. They start to discover that the life they are living has been a whole lie. Outside of The Oasis, where they have been kept for years since The Taking, is a group of rebels bent on destroying The Oasis once and for all. The Oasis is where the AI lives. It turns out that when technology started to advance, it slowly took control over the world and over humanity. Humans have been captured and hypnotized by their devices and brought to The Oasis to be The Dreamers and turn their lives into a digital reality.

Marcus, Nancy, Klaus and Player 1 have been closely monitored by the rebels because they showed potential skills in their virtual life that could be the key to steal the Clockwork Device and travel through time to stop The Taking. They are called The Awakened.

The moment the subjects awoke confused and lost is the moment they started to become aware of what’s reality and what’s not and what their role is in the grand scheme of things.

Behaviors: Diego is a good leader. The Rebels themselves are observers and are always on alert.
